Vueling Airlines will be offering four weekly flights from Vienna to the sunny capital of Mallorca.
Starting on June 1, 2018, the Spanish carrier, which has been operating flights from Vienna since 2009, will offer four weekly flights every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday between Vienna and the Palma de Mallorca, with more than 30,000 seats on sale during the summer season 2018.
Vueling, part of International Airlines Group (IAG), has also increased its services to Barcelona from one to two daily flights and to Rome-Fiumicino, with up to 7 weekly frequencies for next summer season. The company will also maintain its current services to Paris CDG, with five weekly flights. In total, Vueling will offer almost 320,000 seats next summer departing from Vienna, a 62,9% growth comparing to 2017’s summer season.
According to Ulla Siebke, Vueling’s Country Manager for Austria, Germany and Switzerland: “We are very happy to announce Vueling’s 4th route from Vienna airport. Mallorca is a hugely popular destination for holidaymakers all year round and, with Vueling, travelers flying from Vienna Airport will have access to a premium product at very competitive fares”.
“Vueling will add a new flight connection to its route network starting with June 2018, and fly four times a week to the popular travel destination of Palma. The capital city of the Spanish Mediterranean island of Mallorca is a tourist magnet for cultural holidays and vacations by the sea thanks to the well-known La Sen Cathedral, attractive beach landscapes and a multifaceted cuisine. Vueling currently serves three destinations from Vienna. The new flight service not only confirms the good development of this travel market but also the good cooperation between the Spanish airline and Vienna Airport”, says Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG, expressing his pleasure with the new flight connection.
