ANA Offers Free Wi-Fi Internet Service on Domestic flights

All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest and only 5-Star airline announced the introduction of free Wi-Fi internet service on its domestic fleet, as well as personal seat monitors on its Boeing B777 and B787, serving on domestic routes.

The free Wi-Fi internet service will be available to all passengers from April 1, 2018 on airplanes with the Wi-Fi service logo near the entrance. By the end of fiscal year 2018, we are planning on expanding this service to a total of one hundred aircraft, reaching the highest number on Japan domestic routes (*1). With this new service, we hope to give tourists exploring Japan an opportunity to plan their expedition wherever and whenever they wish.

In addition to the free Wi-Fi internet service, in-flight Wi-Fi entertainment will be upgraded as well. We are planning on increasing the number of contents to over one hundred from April 1, 2018. Besides video and audio entertainments, we also have “ANA SKY LIVE TV” where passengers are able to watch live news and sports onboard. This is an exclusive feature only provided by ANA on Japan domestic routes (*2).

Also, from the second half of the fiscal year 2019, we will be equipping our main domestic fleet of Boeing B777 and B787 with personal seat monitors, universal laptop power ports, and USB ports (*3). This September, we introduced personal seat monitors on our Airbus A321neo and have many passengers onboard enjoy it. Therefore, we aim to increase the number of A321neo from currently two, to eleven aircraft by the end of the fiscal year 2018.

ANA has been continuously enriching its service from summer 2017, such as opening a new lounge at Sapporo (New Chitose) airport, designed by the world famous Japanese architect, Kengo Kuma, and renewing its in-flight meal service. ANA will continue to enhance customer convenience and provide a pleasant journey to all passengers onboard.
