New SWISS inflight menu offers cheese fondue on board

From 1st December, SWISS will offer a new version of its SWISS Saveurs menu, which has been available for six months on board European flights departing from Geneva. Renewed for the winter season, the menu includes several new features, including an iconic dish of Swiss cuisine: cheese fondue.

For the winter season, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) offers its passengers the opportunity to order a traditional cheese fondue on its flights from Geneva to Malaga, Athens, Stockholm, Moscow, Gothenburg, Hurghada, Lisbon, St Petersburg and Marrakesh. Created according to the traditional recipe (50% Vacherin Fribourg and 50% Gruyère cheese), our fondue is served with bread and can be accompanied by a traditional charcuterie board with dried meats, cured ham and Gruyère salami.

The new menu also highlights other typical Swiss products such as hot chocolate made with real Swiss chocolate, and freshly baked pain au lait served with a Cailler chocolate bar, both of which evoke fond memories of childhood. Passengers can also discover a new recipe for traditional Bircher muesli and a special sandwich every month.

The SWISS Saveurs offer

Since 30 May, SWISS has been offering a new catering concept on board its European flights (except Zurich) departing from Geneva. Passengers can choose from a selection of meals and refreshments à la carte – in addition to the basic dining offer already included, according to their fare category – which they can pay for directly on board. All products from the SWISS Saveurs menu have been carefully selected to ensure a unique culinary experience. Part of the selection, developed in collaboration with the Geneva subsidiary Globus, offers products that are freshly-made on a daily basis using local and seasonal ingredients.
