ANA offers Free Chocolates on Valentine's Day

ANA To Give Free Chocolates To All Passengers on Valentine’s Day

All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest and 5-star airline for six consecutive years, is commemorating Valentine’s Day with a series of exclusive chocolates from some of the world’s most respected chocolatiers.

This tradition dates back to 2014 and is in keeping with ANA’s belief in the importance of providing top-tier customer service that makes passengers feel at home on every flight.

Passengers traveling in First and Business Classes on America, Europe and India routes will receive a special “Orangette” chocolate from world-renowned chocolatier Pierre Hermé Paris. The French company has earned a reputation for excellence, being dubbed the “Picasso of pastry”. The limited edition Valentine’s Day Orangette chocolate has a sweet and sour orange confit-base and is coated with bitter and milk chocolates, creating a well-balanced yet refined taste. This special Valentine’s Day chocolate represents the second time that ANA has collaborated with Pierre Hermé Paris.

In addition, all domestic and international passengers traveling in all classes will receive special chocolates from Japan’s Meiji THE Chocolate. This year’s chocolate will be “Comfort Bitter,” a variety made with roasted cacao beans. Comfort Bitter is deeply roasted at a high temperature to bring out its strong cacao flavor, giving it a deep nutty taste.

“We will offer our passengers chocolates as a way to make their Valentine’s Day flights just a little more memorable,” said Yutaka Ito, Executive Vice President of ANA. “This holiday collaboration is important to us, so ANA has selected well-known chocolatiers that share its values and are devoted to creating the best possible product for consumers.”

Chocolate service may be cancelled on some flights due to flight conditions, and is unavailable on the following flights:

NH179/828 for Pierre Hermé Paris; NH179/880/808/806/828/834/816/804/802/836/872/820/926/956/964/922/968/972/938/948/934/822/862/824 for Meiji THE Chocolate.
