Aerolineas Argentinas’ Non-Stop Buenos Aires - Orlando Flights Started

Aerolineas Argentinas flies to Orlando

The first incoming flight of Aerolineas Argentinas’ non-stop service from Buenos Aires landed at Orlando International Airport (MCO) Tuesday morning.

This new seasonal route is the first scheduled service between the capital of Argentina and Orlando, the most visited cities in South America and the United States respectively.

“The arrival of Aerolineas Argentinas allows us to better serve travelers looking to come to Orlando with the easy, nonstop flight they have long been hoping for,” said Phil Brown, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “This exciting new service also creates a link between Central Florida and a critical South American market which the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) has actively pursued.”

Aerolineas Argentinas will operate three flights per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays through March 21, 2020. The route will be flown on Airbus 330-200 aircraft with 270 seats in a two-class configuration. Items of interest include:

  • An estimated 300,000 Argentinians visit Orlando each year
  • Argentina is MCO’s 16th largest international market, and was the 2nd largest market without non-stop service
  • Flights depart Buenos Aires at 23:35 arriving in Orlando at 07:15 the next day, with the return flight departing at 16:25 arriving at 04:00 the next day
  • The 4,598 mile journey will take approximately 9 hours
  • The new service is expected to generate an estimated $24 million in economic impact to the Central Florida region.

With more than 49 million annual passengers, Orlando International Airport is the busiest airport in Florida and the 10th busiest in the U.S. MCO is currently engaged in a $4.2 billion Capital Improvement Program to increase capacity and enhance customer convenience.
