3rd Costa Coffee Airport Store Opens at KLIA

Costa Coffee opens at KLIA

Marking the third Costa Coffee airport store in Malaysia, after the first two opened in Langkawi earlier this year, the newly opened store in Kuala Lumpur International Airport sits on an impressive store size of 220 square meters, and features a contemporary store design, creating a clean, warm and inviting feel.

David Mackay, Regional Director of HMSHost Asia Pacific said, “We are extremely excited to continue our expansion in Malaysia Airports, with the opening of our 3rd Costa Coffee in Malaysia.”

To celebrate the opening, customers can enjoy a free coffee on the 12th of December until 13th December by simply sharing a photo (with our Costa Mini or Giant coffee cup) via our social media platforms.

Creating the London ‘Costa’ experience at this Asian airport, a branded Costa Coffee Mini can be spotted at the departure level, as well as a giant Costa Coffee cup in front of the store.

Commenting on the new opening, Hani Ezra Hussin, Malaysia Airports General Manager of Commercial Services said; “After the success of Costa Coffee at Langkawi International Airport, we are excited to bring the well-loved coffee chain to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. With the influx of passengers passing through KLIA, which as at October 2019 saw a 9.3% year-on-year growth, we are committed to continuously enhancing our passenger’s experience through the vast retail, F&B and service offerings available at our airports. This is in line with our commercial reset strategy to transform our airports into lifestyle and shopping destinations.”

Everett Fieldgate, Costa Coffee General Manager for Emerging Asia, South Pacific and Africa, also added; “Costa Coffee is delighted to partner with HMSHost International in bringing great coffee to customers travelling and working in KLIA. Customers can now enjoy a cup of our signature barista-crafted flat white and a great variety of other beverages and food at the comfort of a store designed to provide cozy and conducive ambience.”

The store will offer its freshly ground Mocha Italia blend and a broad range of Costa unique signature hot and cold beverages. To compliment the beverages on offer, Costa’s selection of delicious fresh food will be sure to satisfy the guests.
