Coronavirus: Emirates Suspends All Passenger Flights

Emirates

In response to the latest developments in the COVID-19 outbreak around the world, Emirates will temporarily suspend all passenger operations from March 25.

The airline will continue to operate cargo flights.

Until 25 March, the situation remains dynamic and the flight schedules may change at short notice to comply with regulatory directives or operational requirements. The airline aims to provide affected customers with updated information as early as possible.

The UAE Government has temporarily suspended visas on arrival from 19 March. This includes those for countries eligible for visa issuance on arrival for a renewable period of two weeks with the exception of transit passengers.

As a cost-cutting measure, the airline will initiate a temporary reduction of basic salary for most of the Emirates' employees for three months. The salary cut ranges from 25 to 50 percent.
