US Airlines getting ready for Winter Holiday Season

Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the leading U.S. airlines, projected that 47.5 million passengers will fly globally on U.S. airlines over the 18-day winter holiday travel period from Thursday, December 19, through Sunday, January 5.

Vietjet launches New Delhi flights

New-age carrier Vietjet has officially commenced two direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to New Delhi, also known as the Monumental City due to its attractions such as the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb and the India Gate.

SAS to fly direct to Tokyo

Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) announced a direct route to Tokyo Haneda International Airport from Copenhagen Kastrup. The direct Copenhagen-Haneda route will be served by SAS’ new Airbus A350 aircraft. 

Air Passenger Demand Growth slows

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced global passenger traffic data for October 2019 showing that demand (measured in total revenue passenger kilometers or RPKs) climbed 3.4% compared to the year-ago period. This was a modest slowdown from 3.9% growth recorded in September, owing to softer traffic performance in domestic markets.
