Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is to abolish its present two-persons-in-the-cockpit rule, with effect from 1 May. The action follows an extensive safety and security review which has concluded that the rule, which was introduced as a precautionary measure in 2015, does not enhance flight safety.

emirates logoFollowing yesterday’s news that Emirates goes all A380 to Spain, the carrier announced today that the carrier will provide an all-A380 service from Melbourne when it upgrades its third daily flight from the Australian city, EK408 and EK409, from a Boeing 777-300ER to an A380 operation.

emirates a380 ConcourseAEmirates’ flights to Spain will be operated by only A380 aircrafts. In addition to the existing double daily A380 service to Barcelona, the airline will also operate a double daily A380 service to Madrid, significantly boosting seat capacity from Dubai to Spain.

Alaska Airlines and Virgin America plan to move into Terminal 7 at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The move, which will be complete by October 2017, relocates the airlines' two operations from Terminal 8 and Terminal 4, respectively, and will offer guests a better airport experience while laying the groundwork for future growth at JFK.

Joey, a Labrador, will be seven next month and has been with Jan for five years. Much like easyJet’s ‘flight club’ loyalty scheme for its most frequent flyers, furry flight club will focus on rewards which are most appreciated by the airline’s most loyal four-legged friends – doggie treats.
