gulf countries mapSaudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Egypt have broken off diplomatic relations with Qatar as three Gulf countries and Egypt have accused Qatar of supporting terrorism and destabilizing the region. In return, Qatar, which shares its only land border with Saudi Arabia, has rejected the accusations. Qatar said, "The measures are unjustified and are based on claims and allegations that have no basis in fact."

Emirates started flights between Dubai and Zagreb, Croatia on June 1, 2017. The inaugural Boeing 777-300ER flight from Dubai touched down in Zagreb to a water cannon salute and traditional Croatian folk dancers, with more than 350 passengers on board.

frankfurtAir Canada announces the launch of two new international routes from Vancouver to Nagoya and Frankfurt, marking the beginning of the airline's summer season. In total, the airline plans to launch 11 new international non-stop routes this summer from Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.

The Russian carrier UTair now connects Berlin-Tegel with Moscow Vnukovo airport, on a daily basis. The flight time between the two capitals takes just under two and a half hours. UTair is Russia’s third-biggest air carrier. The airline runs chartered and scheduled flight services, within Russia and to select international destinations. Moscow-Vnukovo Airport is its most important hub.
