Air Canada and Emirates Enhance Strategic Partnership with Operational Move to DXB Terminal 3

Air Canada and Emirates have announced a customer service milestone as Air Canada shifts operations to Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, a move designed to enhance the connection experience for transiting customers.

The co-location, taking effect from July 26th, underscores the benefits of the strategic partnership between the two airlines, which was launched in November 2022.

Customers journeying between the Americas on Air Canada and Middle East, Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Africa on Emirates will experience an enhanced, seamless connection. Staying in the same terminal, travelers will enjoy the benefits of a well-coordinated travel experience.

“We are delighted to welcome Air Canada to Emirates Terminal 3 in Dubai, which marks another step forward in our strategic partnership to deliver even more value to travelers,” said Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer.

He further mentioned that the new arrangement would ensure a smooth connection experience for Air Canada customers transiting in Dubai onto Emirates’ global network, including access to Emirates’ signature Business Class Lounges and other hub facilities.

Air Canada’s Executive Vice President Network & Revenue Planning, Mark Galardo, expressed his appreciation for the partnership with Emirates and Dubai Airports, highlighting the mutual benefits for customers. Galardo mentioned that customers can look forward to elevated experiences throughout their airport journey and seamless onward connections to various destinations.

The first Air Canada flight scheduled to land at Terminal 3 will arrive on July 26th, with the first outbound flight set to depart from Dubai to Toronto on July 27th. A range of dedicated check-in and bag drop counters will be available for different Air Canada service classes.

The strategic partnership has also seen the expansion of codeshare relationships, the development of a reciprocal loyalty program for customers to earn and redeem points, and increased capacity into their respective hubs. This move complements Emirates’ daily service between Montreal and Dubai and Air Canada’s upcoming non-stop flights between Dubai and Vancouver.
