Crystal Cruises, the ultra-luxury cruise line, was recognized by Virtuoso, the international luxury travel network, as the winner of Best Luxury Cruise Line at the close of the annual Virtuoso Travel Week.
Held last week at the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, the festive event attracted a record turnout of 4,420 attendees, which included some of the biggest names in the travel industry.
“A Virtuoso Award is a true honor and testimony of our shipboard and shore side teams who work tirelessly to provide our guests with the best possible luxury travel experience,” says Edie Rodriguez, President of Crystal Cruises. “It’s an acknowledgement that we hold high, and I am very pleased to share this recognition with the Crystal family.”
The final ceremony marked a weeklong event that brought together the upper echelon of the travel industry, including Virtuoso member agencies and their travel advisors, hotels and resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, preferred destinations and tourism boards, airlines, on-sites and specialty services. The event honored some of the most innovative, revered, and top-performing travel agencies and advisors throughout the United States, Australia and Latin America, as well as the network’s global portfolio of world’s-best travel partners.
“Our organization comprises some of the top professionals in this industry, and these awards recognize the companies and individuals, such as Crystal, who embody Virtuoso’s values as well as top performers who make this network so successful,” said Virtuoso Chairman and CEO, Matthew D. Upchurch, CTC. “We honor Crystal as a leader, having been awarded Best Luxury Cruise Line in recognition of their talents and contribution.”
