Princess Debuts Industry's First Travel Agent Rate Online Booking Tool

princess_cruises_logo.gifIn another industry first, Princess has debuted an online booking tool enabling agents to easily make their own reduced rate travel arrangements.

The tool is the latest in the line’s series of innovations designed to provide superior service to agents and make the line one of the easiest with which to do business.

 

With the new online tool agents can search all available sailings – by destination, ship, date and the duration of their sailing – and then make the booking, receive a confirmation and pay for their sailing, all in a few quick steps.  The tool is available exclusively to agents and agencies who actively book Princess cruises, and rates begin at $29 per person per day on select voyages.

 

“No other cruise line offers travel agents the ability to book their own travel as simply as they book cruises for their clients,” said Jan Swartz, executive vice president of sales, marketing and customer service.  “This best-in-class innovation underscores our commitment to give agents exceptional tools that enhance their ability to sell cruises.”

 

To use the new online booking tool, which is available through Princess’ travel agent center www.onesourcecruises.com, agents must qualify for reduced rates with at least four cabins booked and sailed in the past year.  Agencies continue to earn reduced travel agent rates based on one voyage for every four client bookings sailed in the last 12 months, and agencies may have up to 50 confirmed agent rate bookings at a time.  Agents can also conveniently track the number of reduced rates cruises for which their agency qualifies.

 

When creating their reservation, agents can select their cabin, dining preference and bed configuration.  Additionally, they can fully complete their travel details by adding air flights, guest names, transfers and travel protection to their reservation.

 

And Princess Commodores, those agents who have achieved the highest level in the Princess Academy training program, will automatically be upgraded to Elite Captain’s Circle status, and receive valuable onboard benefits even when sailing on a special agent rate.

 

Travel agency rates are available for all Princess destinations and offer significant savings over standard fares.  The offers are subject to change and have limited availability.
