Grand Lucayan, Bahamas, the premier resort on Grand Bahama Island, has appointed David Margolis and Lynn Scarpelli as national sales managers for the 519-room resort.
“We are pleased to announce that two such accomplished professionals are joining our team as national sales managers,” said Thomas Anderson, chief marketing officer. “Both Lynn and David bring vast experience and passion to the sales force and will be instrumental in helping us promote our world-class beach and golf resort to major U.S. group and leisure business markets.”
An industry veteran, Margolis brings 28 years of hospitality-related sales and marketing experience to the resort. Prior to his appointment at Grand Lucayan, Margolis served as director of sales and marketing at various resorts, including Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort in Puerto Rico, Renaissance PineIsle Resort in Georgia as well as multiple Florida resorts including Doubletree Palm Beach Gardens Hotel & Executive Meeting Center, Atlantic Resort & Spa and Coral Springs Marriott Hotel, Golf Club and Convention Center. Margolis graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor of Science in hotel and restaurant management.
Grand Lucayan, Bahamas has also named Lynn Scarpelli as national sales manager. Scarpelli joins the Grand Lucayan team with over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, particularly in group sales in Florida and the Northeastern United States. Prior to her appointment, Scarpelli served as senior sales manager at several Florida hotels and resorts, including Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale and national sales manager at TradeWinds Island Resorts in St. Petersburg and Pier House Resort and Caribbean Spa in Key West. She is a member of various organizations including Meeting Professionals International, National Association of Professional Women, the Auction Committee for Broward Boys & Girls Club and is on the board of Directors for Hoping for a Cause which benefits the MS Foundation.
