Europe's oldest luxury hotel group, Kempinski Hotels, announced the appointment of Rohit Tokhi as the Executive Chef for the first Kempinski managed hotel in India, Kempinski Ambience Hotel Delhi.
Chef Rohit brings with him over 16 years of rich culinary experience and is the recipient of the coveted Hotelier India's Chef of the Year 2011 award.
Rohit is acclaimed for creating innovative culinary experiences at several award-winning establishments and is a recipient of various awards. His professional accolades include helping win the Times Food Guide Awards for 2010, 2011, 2012 for Spectra (multi-cuisine), Diya (Indian) and Zanotta (Italian) restaurants as well as Rubicon Bar at the Leela Kempinski Hotel. Earlier in 2007 and 2008, restaurant 360 at The Oberoi New Delhi won the Times Food Guide Award under his culinary supervision.

As we prepare to launch the hotel, I am working with my team not only on the day-to-day menus and for special occasions, but also inventing new recipes to tantalize our discerning customer’s taste buds. I love trying and experimenting with local cuisines at the world’s best travel destinations to absorb and further refine my touch of food art, and am sure guests will have an exciting experience in all our four restaurants and the bar.”Rohit holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from Mumbai-based Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IHMCT&AN), popularly known as Dadar Catering College. In fact, his culinary talent came to the fore as a student way back in 1996, when the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology adjudged him as the championship winner of Student Chef's competition.
