Former general manager at the InterContinental Sydney, Wolfgang Grimm has expanded his tourism interests in Thailand by becoming managing owner of Crown Lanta Resort and Spa near Krabi.

He will continue as the managing owner of Ao Nang Cliff Resort and has taken over the management contract at Crown Lanta from Siam @ Siam Hotels.

Crown Lanta’s existing general manager   Vichit Somboonchoke will remain in that position, but will seek a new director of sales. Until that appointment is made the sales chief at Ao Nang Michael Chua will handle Crown Lanta’s sales activities.

Mr Grimm said other positions at Crown Lanta would remain the same.

He added that the management team would explore the possibility of providing a seamless Airport-Lanta transport service by car and boat to operate from May until October.

Crown Lanta has a range of rooms and villas, including 70 de luxe rooms, eight Sunset villa rooms, four private pool villa rooms and a single 235 square metre Grand Villa.
