Visit Seattle, a private and nonprofit marketing organization, announced Nick Hawley as the newest member of the organization’s dynamic marketing team.
Effective March 10, Hawley is the new Director of Marketing, responsible for aligning brand messaging across all audiences. He will work closely with Publicis to continue to develop new and innovative ways to promote Seattle. Additionally, Hawley will work on the 20th Annual Taste Washington, a celebration of the region’s incredible wine and food scene.
Between 2013 and 2016, Hawley served as Parking Program Manager at the Downtown Seattle Association, where he was responsible for the strategy, development and implementation of an integrated communications, marketing and advertising program.
From 2009 to 2014, Hawley was an account manager for Team Soapbox, a Seattle communications firm specializing in media relations, marketing, public affairs, and branding, where clients included both city and state transportation departments, Sound Transit and others.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nick to the team,” said Ali Daniels, Vice President of Marketing. “He is uniquely qualified for this role and his experience working with agencies, clients and stakeholders – mixed with his creativity – will certainly propel us in the right direction.”
Hawley attended the University of Wisconsin, earning double Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish.
