The first Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society held in Belfast Waterfront and on the island of Ireland, was hailed as a complete success by both organizers and delegates alike.

Northern Ireland`s only purpose built conference center welcomed nearly 300 delegates to a 3-day event which examined the principles of orbital surgery, thyroid management, and vascular lesions of the orbit as well as new advances in these fields.

Steve White, Consultant Eye Surgeon at the Royal Victoria Hospital, and the lead organiser of a team of four, praised the Belfast Waterfront team for their fantastic support and invaluable expertise, and said, “Belfast Waterfront is one of the best conferences centers in the UK. It is a top notch facility, purposely built to host conferences and therefore equipped with quality support services and facilities that are essential to creating a fantastic experience for delegates.”
