APG World Connect

APG World Connect Bring Aviation Industry Back Together in Monaco This October

The date has been set: The 12th WORLDCONNECT event organized by APG will be held from October 27 to 29, 2021 at the prestigious Monte Carlo Bay hotel in Monaco. The topic this year: “The road to recovery”.

Jean Louis BAROUX President of APG World Connect commented: “It is in the shadow of an extremely complicated health crisis for the world economy, and in particular for air transport that we are delighted to announce the next APG World Connect at the end of October 2021 in Monaco. This event brings together more than 500 participants every year, including around 100 airline executives from all over the world. It will be interesting to take stock of the global air transport situation and listen to the thoughts of our prestigious speakers on the different stages of the return of our industry. It will be slow and difficult, but I am sure it will rise from the ashes.”

He continues: “The topic this year is the recovery of our industry. To restore air transport to its rightful place. To explain that the “airplane” is important economically, socially, and for humanity. To date, several international speakers have confirmed including: Tewolde GEBREMARIAM, President of Ethiopian Airlines & Patrick KY – CEO of EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency). As preparations progress, we see a strong desire on the part of partners and airline professionals to come together “face to face” as soon as possible and offering this opportunity will be at the heart of our event. “

He concludes: “I believe very sincerely that the situation will see a significant return to normal after the summer, and that the borders will continue to re-open, particularly in Europe and Africa. However, we will still have in place important health protocols which will allow participants to be tested upon their arrival and upon their return from Monaco. We hope that the 12th edition of World Connect will give the entire profession the opportunity to come together in a safe way again. “
