Soverato Italy tour

New Undiscovered Italy Tour in Calabria by Daniela Corti Event

Daniela Corti Events with the patronage of the Italian Tourism Board – Enit will organize a new educational tour in Calabria – the third of its kind in this wonderful southern Italian region, after the two which took place in 2020.

The tour for meeting and wedding planners, as well as for a selection of travel bloggers and specializing journalists, under the Undiscovered Italy Tours format, will definitely mark the recovery of Italy’s tourism industry thanks to a successful vaccination campaign allowing the restart of all activities.

The trip, scheduled from Monday 19 to Thursday 22 July, is carried out in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Catanzaro. Both the Municipality of Soverato and the local collaboration of the travel agency Antoior Travel support the project as well.

Operators and journalists will visit places and venues suitable for both weddings and international events and will personally meet the local excellences operating in the field, with special reference to textiles and the food & wine supply chain.

Local media coverage of the tour will be provided by LaC tv and LaC news24.

The program

Visits are planned to the Chagall exhibition in the historic centre of Catanzaro as well as to the costume museum, to the looms and to the archaeological area of Tiriolo; there will also be a discovery tour of the art of weaving and the origins of the historic Calabrian shawl (“il vancale”); and visits and tastings at prestigious restaurants and wineries that are also characteristic venues for events.

The program then includes a visit to Gagini’s Pietà, in the charming medieval village of Soverato, and a “silk experience” at San Floro’s silkworms.
