Malaysia Hosts RadioDays Asia 2023 Conference

Malaysia has once again showcased its capability to host significant international business events by successfully organizing the RadioDays Asia (RDA) 2023 Conference for the third consecutive time.

The conference is a prestigious event in the broadcasting world, organized by RadioDays Europe and supported by the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB).

This year’s installment of RDA attracted over 300 delegates from 30 countries across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, reinforcing Malaysia’s reputation as a hub for international collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange. The two-day event served as a crucial platform for industry leaders, broadcasters, podcasters, and audio enthusiasts to delve into the latest trends, innovations, and challenges shaping the future of the industry, including the role of Artificial Intelligence.

Participants engaged in active discussions, sharing insights and experiences from their respective stations, businesses, and podcasts, contributing to the collective knowledge and advancement of the broadcasting industry. The event highlighted Malaysia’s dedication to driving the evolution of audio and radio in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Mr. Zain Azrai Rashid, MyCEB’s Acting CEO, emphasized the significance of hosting RDA, stating, “RDA is an integral part of the Radiodays Europe family, renowned for organizing the largest radio, audio, and podcast conferences in Europe.” He continued, “This affiliation further cements Malaysia’s position as an ideal destination for hosting business events.”

RDA 2023 is one of the 177 business events supported by MyCEB this year, estimated to have generated RM4.9 million in economic impact. Mr. Rashid highlighted MyCEB’s continuous efforts to uphold its pivotal role in facilitating and supporting business events in Malaysia, contributing to the nation’s growth as a global event destination.

Anders Held, Project Director and Founder of RadioDays, expressed satisfaction with Malaysia as the chosen destination, praising the nation’s ability to meet world-class venue requirements and its alignment with the dynamic spirit of the radio industry. He complimented the centrality of the location, the food, the culture, and, most importantly, the hospitality, expressing happiness to be back in Malaysia for the third time.
