The winner cartoonists of the 5th International Cartoon Competition, to which 705 works from a total of 57 countries were announced.
Andrei Popov from Russia was given the Grand award, Felipe Galindo from USA was given the second award and Sergei Semendyaev from Ukraine was given the third award.
The winner cartoonists of the 5th International Cartoon Competition, which is being held in order to increase the awareness about Turkey all over the world in the field of tourism and understand how tourism phenomenon looks like from the points of cartoonists, were announced. 705 works from a total of 57 countries were submitted to the international competition. Russian cartoonists Andrei Popov’s work was selected to be the first while the works of Felipe Galindo from USA and Sergei Semendyaev from Ukraine were selected to be the second and third, respectively.
The work Luc Vernimmen from Belgium was awarded the Prof. Atila Özer award, which is given in the name of Prof. Atila Özer, who is the originator of the competition, now departed. The winners of mansion awards are as listed; Provijn Stefaan (Belgium), Pavel Constantin (Rumania), Santiago Cornejo (Argentina) Cemalettin Güzeloğlu (Turkey) and Engin Selçuk (Turkey).
The 5th International Cartoon Competition was organized with the cooperation of Association of Tourism Writers and Journalists (TUYED) and Anatolia: A Journal of Tourism Research, the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and also the sponsorship of Er Yatırım, Club Nena, Club Calimera Serra Palace and GMC Organizasyon. Awards will be presented to the winners at an award ceremony which will take place in Antalya Manavgat. The Award Ceremony will be held in Club Calimera Serra Palace, Manavgat Antalya, Turkey at 7 p.m. on 25 April 2014, Friday.
