Istanbul, the most recommended destination of 2014* by global-scale travellers, continues to host large masses of colorful people.
Sponsored by Turkish Airlines, "#InstaMeetTK0001" the project which began last Friday and ended today, has shared all the different angles of Istanbul, the city that has been the capital of four great empires with its stunning beauty, via the most followed and loved Instagrammers and their followers. In this project, five Instagram photographers from four different countries has been discovering the streets of Istanbul and taking photographs from 11 different points of the city.
The aim of this project is to share Istanbul's historical heritage with the world through the universal language of photography and personal perspectives of the photographers. The Instagrammers who are contributing to this project which will present the modern, mystical, historical, and colorful aspects of the city from different points of view are: Liz Eswein from the United States of America, who has approximately 1 million and 250 thousand followers; Pei Ketron from the United States of America, who has approximately 800 thousand followers; VuThéara Kham from France who has approximately 600 thousand followers; Eelco Roos from Netherlands, who has approximately 400 thousand followers; and Hiroaki Fukuda from Japan, who has approximately 200 thousand followers.
The priority of this project is to share the charm of daily life in Istanbul with the world through the best Instagrammers in the world. With this project, a true Istanbul experience has been reflected through the lenses of the greatest and most-followed Instagram photographers. The goals are to reveal the true beauty of certain locations in Istanbul that have never been seen before and to capture colorful Istanbul pictures from different perspectives to make an addition to the present visual richness of the city.
At the end of “#InstaMeetTK0001" approximately 60 Istanbul photographs have been posted on Instagram. The photographs from this project are anticipated to reach over 4 million people around the world.
