A brand new restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul

  • Published by Ozgur Tore

The brand new restaurant of The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, Atelier Real Food, offers contemporary Mediterranean cuisine using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients and prides itself with an open kitchen, showcasing the French Rotisserie.

This simplicity based ‘farm to table’ dining concept takes its guests ‘back to basics’ and is inspired by the artisan way of life, underlined by an ‘atelier’ in which chefs create unique, special dishes.

“Healthy food and exceptional ingredients are utmost luxury on a plate, providing guests with the best quality available by cutting out a chef’s ego”, General Manager Max Zanardi emphasizes.

Handmade breads are served on hot Sile stones brought from Turkey’s Anatolian region and organic olive oil uniquely produced by local artisans are immediate details to catch guests’ attention, leaving a lasting impression.

The venue’s contemporary design was created by famous Portuguese architect Patricia Pina and the furniture was specially designed and produced solely for the restaurant itself. Guests enter the venue though a sliding screen with a mystical touch, welcomed by panoramic views of the Bosphorus and the city of Istanbul. The newly designed and conjoint winter garden is a tempting addition to the unique features and style of Atelier Real Food, especially for ‘al fresco’ dining enthusiasts.

Üzeyir Aydın started his career at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, followed by several years of working for The Ritz-Carlton internationally, and has now returned as restaurant manager of Atelier Real Food.

Chef Andre spent the last three years on his motorbike exploring Turkish culinary secrets, now blending them with the best of the Mediterranean.

Open daily for dinner from 6:30pm – 11pm Atelier Real Food impresses with a handmade French Rotisserie and a Chef’s Table for up to twelve people, making it the perfect venue for private leisure or business dinners while showcasing a wine cellar including 150 local and international wines.

The French Rotisserie is the highlight to the Sunday Brunch once again dedicated to real food. Ensuring that meats are roasted evenly while staying juicy and tender, the French Rotisserie procedure and the chefs’ passionate preparations in the open kitchen can be enjoyed by guest about to enjoy their dinner.

The first Sunday Brunch named ‘Sunday Roast’ will take place on Sunday, October 19th at 11:30 am.
