Turkey’s Borajet suspends flights

borajetTurkey's first regional airlines Borajet announced that it will suspend its flights starting today. The carrier, which is purchased by SBK Holding end of 2016, is now undergoing a reconstruction period.

The company announced that around 30,000 existing flight reservations would be transferred to Turkish Airlines (THY) and that ticket holders would be able to use their tickets for Turkish Airlines flights.

In a written statement Borajet said it was preparing to offer services from Istanbul's third airport, which will be one of the biggest in the world.

The carrier had stopped its flights in order to repair and refurbish of its 6 out of 10 aircrafts, which are mostly Embraer and ATR aircrafts.
