TAV to take two Turkish start-ups to Paris

Groupe ADP and TAV, the largest airport management platform globally, organize the “Airport Start-Up Day”, which will bring together ventures from France and Turkey.

Selected by an international jury, the start-ups will have the opportunity to exhibit their projects to passengers, potential investors and industry leaders in Paris CDG and Izmir Adnan Menderes airports.

Selected start-ups will exhibit in Charles de Gaulle on October 15th and in Adnan Menderes on October 17th. TAV will take two Turkish start-ups to Paris and two French companies will come to Izmir.

Organizing the Turkish leg of the event, TAV Technologies GM Kerem Ozturk said “As a company serving more than 100 million passengers annually, passenger satisfaction is at the core of all our operations. We closely monitor the different needs and expectations of our passengers and create innovative solutions. Organized by Groupe ADP, the Airport Start-up Day event will this year extend to Izmir, one of the largest commercial and innovation hubs in Turkey. This event will provide an unparalleled opportunity for start-ups that work towards creating the future travel experience, to promote and expose their work in an international scope. A first for us, we hope to carry this event to other airports in our portfolio in the coming years. Drawing from our mission to create social benefits to our stakeholders, we are proud to provide this support to Turkish start-ups.”

15 start-ups will be selected in Turkey to participate in the event. Two among them will also participate in the event in Paris and all costs will be covered by TAV and Groupe ADP. Furthermore, the most creative projects will be awarded, upon deliberations by the jury. Selected projects will be announced at the end of the month.
