Turkish Airlines on Sunday has resumed flights between Istanbul and Kharkiv, Ukraine following a four-month break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The airline will operate flights to Kharkiv four times a week. In particular, evening flights will be operated every Monday and Friday, while morning flights on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Turkish Airlines already resumed flights from Istanbul to four more Ukrainian cities – Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, and Kherson.
Passengers must have insurance to cover medical expenses in Ukraine.
Ukraine introduced “Red zone” and “Green zone”. Passengers traveling Ukraine from the Green zone will be permitted to enter the country. Turkey is listed in the Green zone. The citizens from countries with a high level of COVID-19 cases who have not been on the territory of these states over the past 14 days* are not required to undergo observation.
Citizens of Ukraine or a person with a permanent residence permit in Ukraine can enter the country without an insurance policy.
