Turkey Now Requires Negative PCR Test Result

Turkish Airlines CEO today tweeted that all international flight passengers are required to present negative PCR virus test results before boarding flights to Turkey.

"On request of our Health Ministry, all passengers coming from abroad starting from Dec. 28 will be asked to submit negative PCR virus test results obtained within the last 72 hours before boarding, as part of Turkey's fight against Covid," Bilal Eksi, Turkish Airlines CEO wrote on Twitter.

Starting from Monday, December 28, by air from abroad; and as of December 30, all passengers arriving by air, land and sea are required to submit negative PCR tests performed in the last 72 hours. Those who do not present the negative PCR test results will not be allowed to board the plane on the way to Turkey. Those who do not submit their test at the border gate upon entering Turkey will be quarantined at the addresses where they will reside.

This COVID-19 test requirement will continue until March 1, 2021.
