Turkey Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai Opens

A lively mix of Turkish folk performances at Expo’s Earth Stage marked the opening of the Turkey Pavilion on Tuesday (November 23) evening.

Turkish artists performed horon, the popular folk dance involving traditional string and woodwind instruments, bagpipes and percussion, with the rhythmic, high-tempo dancing featuring amazing choreography and rich cultural content.

The entertainment also included kafkas, the Caucasian folk dance and a performance by a Turkish band. A large number of Turkish nationals and visitors applauded the performances that were staged at the venue just next to the Turkey Pavilion.

The evening of entertainment marked the culmination of day-long events, including a carpet show and miniature art, organised to mark the official opening of the Turkey Pavilion. Earlier in the day, His Excellency Dr. Mehmet Mus, Turkish Minister of Trade, attended its inauguration.
