2022 FIFA World Cup Containers are New Home for Earthquake Survivors

Containers prepared for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, each measuring 18 square meters, will be used for the housing needs of earthquake victims in the southern Hatay province of Türkiye.
The containers, which are typically used as accommodations for personnel and football fans during the World Cup, were sent by Qatar to Turkey and will be put into service for earthquake victims.
A total of 10,000 containers will be sent, with 5,000 being installed in Hatay. The installation of 600 containers, which include beds, showers, and toilets, at a site prepared on the İskenderun highway is in its final stages.
