Turkish Airlines Carried World’s Tallest Woman

Turkish woman Rumeysa Gelgi, 26, the world’s tallest living woman returns home from the United States on a Turkish Airlines flight, on March 14, 2023.

She is a Turkish advocate, researcher, and front-end developer, who holds the titles of a tallest living woman, largest hands (female), longest fingers (female), longest back (female) and previously held the title of tallest living female teenager by Guinness World Records. She is 215.16 cm (7 ft 0.71 in) tall.

On November 8, 2022, Gelgi was able to fly on an airplane for the first time in her life. Turkish Airlines had to remove six chair rows from one of their planes to make her trip from Istanbul to San Francisco, California, U.S.

The world’s tallest living man Sultan Köse, 41, is also a Turkish citizen. He is 251 cm (8 ft 2.82 in).
