Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carrier, and Turkish Airlines, Turkey's national air carrier, signed a codeshare agreement that will be effective from 1st November 2017. The agreement will expand the travel opportunities for the passengers of both airlines with jointly operated double daily flights between Bahrain and Istanbul.

Azerbaijan Airlines AZAL will work with Turkish Cabin Interiors (TCI) for design and manufacture of the Galleys for their new B737-MAX 8 aircraft. There will be a total of 10 shipset to be delivered to AZAL and first delivery will be made on November, 2018.

Turkish Airlines, flying to more countries than any other airline, has been named a “Five-Star Global Airline” by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) Official Airline Ratings. The prestigious award, based on passenger feedback, was presented to Turkish Airlines at the APEX Award Ceremony at Expo 2017 in Long Beach, California.

Çetin Emeç Art Gallery in Izmir kicks off new season with Erhan Meço's "Venice Carnival". The gallery, which hosted art enthusiasts for many years at the building of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, has moved to its new address on October 2016.

Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carrier, will introduce a permanent increase to its Istanbul service with daily flights on the route effective early November 2017. The increase is in direct response to passenger demand, increasing the number of convenient flight options offered by the airline and giving passengers greater flexibility and choice when travelling to and from Istanbul.

Turkey’s national carrier; Turkish Airlines welcomed around 7.4 million passengers in August 2017. This shows an increase of 14% compared to the previous year’s month. The available seat kilometers were up by 2.6% compared to August 2016. Compared to August 2015, available seat kilometers increased by 18%, number of passengers carried by 16% and demand (revenue per kilometers) by 20%.

Istanbul, a popular destination for sportive events, will host UEFA Super Cup match in 2019. Beşiktaş’s home stadium of 43,000-capacity Vodafone Park will host the final match.
