Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) chose Turkish Cabin Interiors

Azerbaijan Airlines AZAL will work with Turkish Cabin Interiors (TCI) for design and manufacture of the Galleys for their new B737-MAX 8 aircraft. There will be a total of 10 shipset to be delivered to AZAL and first delivery will be made on November, 2018.

Turkish Airlines named “Five-Star Global Airline”

Turkish Airlines, flying to more countries than any other airline, has been named a “Five-Star Global Airline” by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) Official Airline Ratings. The prestigious award, based on passenger feedback, was presented to Turkish Airlines at the APEX Award Ceremony at Expo 2017 in Long Beach, California.

Gulf Air Goes Daily to Istanbul

Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carrier, will introduce a permanent increase to its Istanbul service with daily flights on the route effective early November 2017. The increase is in direct response to passenger demand, increasing the number of convenient flight options offered by the airline and giving passengers greater flexibility and choice when travelling to and from Istanbul.

7.4 million passengers flew with Turkish Airlines in August 2017

Turkey’s national carrier; Turkish Airlines welcomed around 7.4 million passengers in August 2017. This shows an increase of 14% compared to the previous year’s month. The available seat kilometers were up by 2.6% compared to August 2016. Compared to August 2015, available seat kilometers increased by 18%, number of passengers carried by 16% and demand (revenue per kilometers) by 20%.

Designed with Smart Building Automation Concept, the center will be providing uninterruptible flight training with dynamic UPS Power Supply Systems.

Qatar Airways Launches 4th route to Turkey

Qatar Airways has responded to increased customer demand for service to Turkey by launching direct flights to the southern city of Adana, the airline’s fourth route to the country. The new three-times–a-week service is in addition to the airline’s existing flights to the capital Ankara, and services to historic Istanbul’s two main airports: Atatürk Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

Organized in collaboration with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and Turkish Rowing Federation (TRF), the Balkan Rowing Championship (BRC) attracted national teams of Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, and Romania.
