This month sees Club Med further strengthens its trade influence across the UK, welcoming two new members Karen Milward (left) and Dominika Dudek (middle) to the sales team.
Following the appointment of Danny Joel as Regional Sales Executive for London and South of England last year, Karen will provide additional expert advice and assistance to travel agents based from North London to the Midlands for Club Med, whilst Dominika will support and coordinate activities from Club Med’s London office.
Karen and Dominika will report to Joy Lacana (right), Agency Sales Manager UK & Ireland, and will work alongside Phil Shipman, Regional Sales Executive for the North and Gary McIntyre, Regional Sales Executive, Newcastle borders, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Club Med UK now has four full time sales team members on the road. Joy Lacana who heads up the team and is based in Club Med’s South London office has a background in the music and entertainment industry, and has been working for Club Med for four years. Prior to heading up the sales team, Joy was Transport and Aviation Manager for Club Med UK.

Karen Milward, Business Development Manager for North London to the Midlands, will raise awareness of the value of the Club Med product in these areas. This will include showcasing Club Med’s premium all-inclusive product in its 80 worldwide resorts to agents, highlighting regional departures and implementing a comprehensive training and familiarisation programme for new and existing agents which will in turn develop sales in the region.
Karen has more than 20 years experience in the travel industry of which 10 have been spent on the road. Recent positions include Key Account Manager for Travel 2 and Shearing Holidays and Business Development Manager for specialist tour operator Wendy Wu Tours.

The appointments come as Club Med announced a five per cent increase in UK bookings for the first half of 2012 and launched the Club Med Premium All-Inclusive Report – independent research commissioned on behalf of Club Med, indicating the potential of the Premium All-Inclusive market within the UK.Laurent de Chorivit, Managing Director, Club Med UK, said: “We are delighted to have a strong sales team in place, led by Joy Lacana as we kick off the second half of 2012 with a renewed focus on regional areas of development.
