Bimini Bay Resort & Marina Names New General Manager

Carlos Salazar has been named General Manager of the multi-million dollar Bimini Bay Resort & Marina located in North Bimini, The Bahamas.

Carlos-SalazarWith more than 20 years in thehospitality industry, Salazar brings extensive knowledge of luxury guest experience, deep familiarization with the Caribbean market and new energy to the resort.

As General Manager of Bimini Bay Resort & Marina, Salazar will oversee day-to-day physical and financial operations of the property, as well as develop and implement service-training programs. He is dedicated to enhancing the resort’s reputation for high service standards.

Most recently General Manager in South Beach’s Z Ocean Hotel, Salazar is noted for improving overall guest satisfaction and improving profitability at the hotel. Notably,Salazar’s experience includes time as the Managing Director of Jumby Bay Resort, A Rosewood Resort, the private island hideaway off the coast of Antigua, and Executive Assistant Manager of The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York City, an iconic hospitality landmark.

Salazar launched his career in Los Angeles where he quickly climbed the ranks at renowned hotels such as The Beverly Hills Hotel and Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. Following his time in California, Salazar spent many years in Hawaiiwhere he assumed the position of Director, Food and Beverage at the Hilton Waikoloa Village located on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii's Big Island and Kahala Mandarin Oriental, a Five Diamond Resort in Honolulu.

Salazar will reside at Bimini Bay Resort and Marina with his wife, Aubri and children, Carly and Nicolas.
