Mr Andrew Cowen, Mango Managing Partner explained: “Mango has been investing strongly in building up its presence and capability in Asia Pacific, reflecting the growing importance to world aviation and the growth prospects of the Asia Pacific region. To strengthen the Mango team further, as well as extend Mango’s capability into what we perceive as major aviation growth areas, I am delighted to announce the appointment of three new Management Partners to the Mango senior team:

Brian Hogan joins Mango from Zest Airways of the Philippines, where he previously held the role of CEO Advisor. Prior to Zest, Brian was CEO Advisor at AirPhil Express. At both Zest and AirPhil Express, Brian has led extensive restructuring efforts resulting in both carriers emergence as significant LCC’s with substantial market share in the highly competitive Philippine market. Brian has also been the COO Advisor at Cebu Pacific and together with his extensive experience gained at a number of other aviation companies in SE Asia, he brings tremendous LCC and restructuring expertise to Mango. Brian has been appointed Partner responsible for Business Development and with the geographic responsibility of SE Asia.

Steve Allen also joins Mango from Zest Airways, where he previously held the role of CCO Advisor. Steve has variously held senior airline commercial positions at AirPhil Express, Viva Macau and Tiger where in all cases he was responsible for building and strengthening the commercial proposition of the airlines concerned. Steve’s energy and ability to get things done will be a great asset to the Mango team”, Mr Cowen explained. “Steve has been appointed Partner responsible for all aspects of Mango’s airline client Commercial activities and will additionally have geographical responsibility for North Asia.”

• Mr Cowen also announced the internal promotion of Charles Johnson to Partner responsible for Product & Ancillary Revenue, on a worldwide basis. “Charles has unrivalled Product & Ancillary Revenue expertise across all airline business models. In addition, he has worked with airlines around the globe, building a wealth of knowledge that is a key underpinning to Mango’s growth plans. I am particularly delighted to be promoting such a talented individual from within Mango, a step-up which is thoroughly deserved.”

Mr Cowen highlighted: “These are major appointments which reinforce Mango’s determination to always be in a position to provide unique and talented expertise to the full spectrum of airlines operating across Asia Pacific. In particular, Brian, Steve and Charles, in common with all Mango’s people, are able to closely integrate with airline and other aviation business management teams, to deliver realistic and lasting solutions to business issues”
