A graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Hotel, Resort & Restaurant Management from La Consolacion College, Mendiola Manila, Philippines, Myla completed her Management Traineeship at the prestigious five star hotel, The Manila Hotel in Rooms Division in 1992. After completing her degree, she continued her service at the same hotel as Front Office Associate.

Myla’s journey in Thailand started in 1994 as Guest Relations Manager at Pan Pacific Hotel, Bangkok as part of its preopening team. She also attended Bangkok University during same period where she gained her Master’s Degree in Communication majoring Public Relations.

Myla then joined pre-opening team of ACCOR’s 560 rooms, Mercure Hotel Pattaya Resort as Public Relations Manager from 1996 until 1998. In June 1998, the Philippines Government’s Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority appointed Myla to manage their Marketing Communications & Public Relations activities to launch Crown Peak Gardens Hotel & Convention Centre, Subic Olongapo City, Philippines.

In 1999, Myla returned to Thailand and joined MINOR International Hotels Group based Marriott Royal Garden Riverside Bangkok (currently known as Anantara Bangkok Riverside) as their Senior Sales Manager and in 2001 was promoted to Director of Sales until May 2003. Myla tried a new role as she ventures as Director of Training for the group’s newly hotel brand Anantara Resorts & Spas Thailand from May 2003 until June 2004, where she was able to show her skills in people’s development and proved her strong leadership in the field of training.

In July 2004, Myla joined the pre-opening team of Meritus Suites State Tower Bangkok as Director of Sales (currently known as Lebua State Tower Bangkok, where she worked until Sep 2005.

After several years in Thailand, Myla moved to Vietnam to join Victoria Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific based in Head Office in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam as its Regional Director for Sales,   Communication and Marketing Services in Sep 2005 in charge of the group’s 6 Resorts in Vietnam &Cambodia as well as the company’s     Victoria Express Trains and Victoria Boat Cruises. In Aug. 2006, Myla joined another pre-opening Luxury Resort, the L’Anmien Muine Resort & Spa (currently known as Anantara Resort & Spa Muine, Phan Thiet Vietnam) as Director of Sales & Marketing.

Her last post in Vietnam prior to moving back to Thailand was with Swiss-Belhotel International where she was in charge of Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi Sales & Marketing Offices for 3 yrs. as Director of Sales & Marketing for its beach front property, Swiss-Belhotel Golden Sand Resort & Spa, Hoi An, Central Vietnam.

Before joining Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park in her current position, Myla worked in the same capacity as Director of Sales & Marketing at IHG based 700 Rooms Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom from Aug 2010 until Aug 2012.
