Jamal-Hussain Rene-MayerMr. Hussain (left) comes to the Regent Bali from Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, where he held senior positions in Maldives, Bintan, Singapore and Bali. Mr. Hussain’s resume includes tenures with prestigious properties located in Europe and Asia, and brings with him a wealth of 36 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Some of these properties include: Hilton Vienna, Grand Hyatt Jakarta, Grand Hyatt Taipei, Peninsula Hong Kong, privately owned Palace of The Golden Horses in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and Banyan Tree properties in Maldives, Bintan and Bali.

Mr. Hussain joins the management team at Regent Bali including Mr. Rene Mayer (right), who was recently promoted to global director of sales at Regent Hotels & Resorts, and is currently the director of sales and marketing at Regent Bali. Prior to joining Regent, Mr. Mayer was director of sales and marketing at Sofitel Plaza Hanoi, where he focused on the collective goals of the luxury hotel chain. Previously, Mayer served as director of global sales worldwide for Vienna International Hotels & Resorts, Austria and cluster director of sales for Hilton Mainz International, among others. Mr. Mayer holds his masters in hospitality management from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and a business studies degree in economics, marketing and sales from VWA Frankfurt, Germany.
