Hing-Cheong KwokCreation of the new position coincides with the addition of Hawaiian Airlines' newest Asian destination gateway with the launch of service to Beijing on April 16, subject to government approval.

"We are pleased to have H.C. join our international sales team as we enter into the China market for the first time," said Peter Ingram, Hawaiian Airlines executive vice president and chief commercial officer. "His extensive sales experience in the airline industry and his knowledge of the Chinese market are well suited to help us build rapport in our new destination gateway."

For the past 17 years, he held various sales and marketing positions at Continental Airlines where he was in charge of the company's pacific regions covering 12 different countries.

In 2011, Kwok was honored as Ambassador-at-Large by the Governor of Guam for his efforts in promoting Guam as a visitor destination for more than 20 years.

Starting April 16, 2014, Hawaiian Airlines will be launching new non-stop service between Honolulu and Beijing, its first Mainland China gateway destination, subject to government approval. The new service will offer flights three days weekly.
