El Conquistador Resort, A Waldorf Astoria Resort and Las Casitas Village, A Waldorf Astoria Resort have named Andréa Magalhaes Spa Director of their Waldorf Astoria Spa.
Magalhaes will be responsible for all aspects of managing the 26,000 square foot spa, which was recently named a Favorite Spa in Spafinder's Wellness 365 Readers’ Choice Awards. The appointment is effective immediately.
Magalhaes has over sixteen years’ experience with high-volume spas, salon, fitness centers and pool operations. Most recently, she was Regional Director of Spa & Salon Operations of Caesar’s Qua Baths & Spa and Bally's Salon and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Immediately prior, she was Director of Spa Operations at Avanti Day Resort in Manalapan, NJ which was named among ELLE Magazine’s “Top 100 Salons in the Country” during her tenure. In addition, Magalhaes is currently a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA); International Spa Association and the International Spa, Fitness & Hospitality Alliance among others.

The Waldorf Astoria Spa at El Conquistador Resort & Las Casitas Village is a three-story seafront spa featuring two double rooms, 15 dry rooms, five wet rooms, five facial rooms, a full service Edouard de Paris salon, and spa boutique offering a mindful selection of lifestyle products and gift items to ensure the experience continues well beyond the visit.
