Captain Cook Cruises Fiji announced the appointment of Clayton Purvis as the water sports manager and PADI Instructor on their accommodated cruise ship, MV Reef Endeavour.
Diving since childhood, Clayton developed his diving skills in the heavy currents of the Puget Sound. Over the last 10 years he has worked across the globe as a dive instructor and adventure tour leader. Clayton’s experience ranges from the frigid waters of Alaska's Inside Passage to at altitude fresh water lakes and numerous locations throughout the tropics.
Clayton has always wanted to work in Fiji and when he was offered this job with Captain Cook Cruises he didn’t hesitate in accepting.
“I was drawn to Fiji with its numerous reefs and abundant aquatic life. My job on the Reef Endeavour will really allow me to reach those perfect dive locations in remote Fiji that go untouched by recreational divers. “Says Clayton.
Clayton also plans on taking advantage of the sailing schedule of the Reef Endeavour to further develop their on-board scuba diving program.
“I really want to expand the current scuba diving program onboard our 3, 4, 7 and 11 night cruises so that seasoned divers, as well as those wishing to learn, can enjoy many more of Fiji's remote reefs. We already take passengers on dives to beautiful reefs, but for them to dive on new and untouched reefs would be amazing.” Adds Clayton.
