Grand Lucayan, an award-winning, classic Bahamian resort, announced the addition of Juan C. Romero as Group Sales Manager for the Grand Bahama Island property.

Romero, who has a solid sales background with both leisure group and sales, will be focusing on the SE market and travel agent sales.

“Romero’s sales management expertise and his outstanding relationship-building skills make him the ideal candidate to enhance Grand Lucayan’s executive team,” said Tom Anderson, Chief Marketing Officer for Grand Lucayan, Bahamas. “We believe that his passion for the hospitality industry and demonstrated commitment will help ensure that the property continues to stay top-of-mind for both our past and future customers,” he added.

With almost two decades of marketing and sales experience, Romero brings valuable industry insight for the brand. Prior to joining Grand Lucayan, he worked with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean for nearly seven years, where he held the titles of Special Project Manager and Sales Manager. Preceding his time with Wyndham, he worked as a Sales and Operations Manager for a variety of stores, including Babies “R” Us, Gap Inc., and Armani Exchange.

“I am thrilled to be working at such an iconic Bahamian property,” said Romero. “Grand Lucayan is truly one-of-a-kind, offering outstanding service and some of the finest amenities in the Caribbean,” he added.

Grand Lucayan presents travelers with a classic Bahamian experience. Located at just 55 miles off the coast of Florida, the property stands out for its unparalleled service, quality products, connectivity and affordability. Expanding its offer, Grand Lucayan is undergoing a multimillion dollar enhancement project, which includes extensive renovations and the launch of an all-inclusive concept, Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan.
