Based in Kathmandu, Mr Marshall will take over from outgoing manager, Kumar de Silva, to oversee the airline's operations in Nepal.

Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways chief commercial officer, said: "Mr Marshall brings extensive experience and expertise to this market, where he will build on the work of his predecessor, Kumar de Silva, who has played a key role in establishing our commercial organisation and office in Nepal. I am very pleased to welcome Ken to this new market and wish him success in growing the operation between Kathmandu and Abu Dhabi."
