Zeynel Karakuş, one of the most experienced people in the field, has become a member of the Avantgarde Collection family as the Food & Beverage Coordinator.
Mr. Karakuş was born in Malatya in 1971. He embarked upon his career at Swissotel in 1991. After having worked for Swissotel for about eight years at a stretch, he left to perform his military service.
Following his military service, he worked at Kemer Golf & Country Club, Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul, Gloria Serenity Hotel Antalya, Radissonblu Ortaköy, Pera Palace, The Marmara Taksim and Hotel Les Ottomans.
He became one of the founding members of Turkish Bartenders Association for which he acted as the secretary-general for two periods and president for one period.
In 2009, he contributed to readjusting of the curricula followed in Vocational Tourism Schools and Tourism High Schools, by taking charge in the IKMEP Project (Human Resource Development through Vocational Education and Training) launched by the Ministry of Education.
He worked at Nestle Professional for almost six years to provide consulting services in barista and coffee-making courses, mixture and recipe preparation, while conducting inspections on behalf of the firm.
As of January 2014, Zeynel Karakuş will be introducing to the guests of Avantgarde Collection hotels located in Levent, Taksim and Yalıkavak his great food & beverage experience and knowledge earned through long years of working at prominent hotel chains located in Turkey. Tapping into his personal experiences, he will help Avantgarde Collection provide world class services and make a shift from local to global.
