The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, The U.S. Virgin Island’s premier luxury resort, has named Isabel Mercado as its new Director of Finance.
With more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry and working with the Marriott brand, Mercado will oversee the property’s long-term financial health and growth.
“We feel extremely fortunate to have Isabel join the Ladies and Gentlemen at the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas,” said Arjun Channa, General Manager.
“She brings with her a proven track record of success, strong leadership skills and brand knowledge, all of which will assist greatly in our resort’s ongoing mission to provide every guest with an extraordinary vacation experience.”
Mercado joins The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas from Marriott International’s Caribbean and Latin America Regional Office in in Plantation, Fla., where she served as Regional Senior Manager of Finance – Shared Services & Controller. Previously, she was Senior Assistant Director of Finance at San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter on the River Walk. Mercado holds a master’s in accounting and finance from the Metropolitan University in Puerto Rico, where she was born and raised.
