Thomas Keesling Passed Away

ASTA announced the passing of Thomas Keesling, Sr., CTC, who worked in the industry for more than 50 years and served as ASTA’s president from 1971 to 1972.

Along with multiple other ASTA roles over the years, Tom’s extraordinary career was highlighted by service on President Nixon’s National Tourism Resources Review Commission, leadership roles in the Pacific Area Travel Association, decoration by the government of Lebanon with its Order of Cedars of Lebanon and the rank of Knighthood, being awarded the La-Medaille de Reconnaissance by the government of France and service as honorary consul to the Republic of Rwanda from 1987 until 1992.
