The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota Appoints Rajesh Khubchandani

The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, a luxury landmark located on Florida’s central Gulf coast, announced the appointment of Rajesh (Raj) Khubchandani as the resort’s General Manager.

Khubchandani will oversee all resort, residence, beach club, and golf club operations, while reinforcing the beloved traditions most emblematic to the iconic property celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

A seasoned hotelier for over 28 years, Khubchandani brings a wealth of experience to his new position having worked in numerous countries. An award-winning and well-respected leader within Marriott International, Inc., he most recently served as Vice President of Luxury Brand Operations.

Prior to this, he held several leadership positions at other Ritz-Carlton properties including General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Boston and The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton Towers, Boston Common, and opening Hotel Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles.

A native of India, Khubchandani is a graduate of the University of Calcutta, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, and majored in Economics and Finance. He also studied Strategic Hospitality Management at Cornell University and finished his post-graduate studies at the Oberoi Center of Learning and Development in New Delhi, India. He is passionate about tennis and enjoys hiking with his family.
