The Kennebunkport Resort Collection - comprised of 11 distinctive hotels / luxury vacation rentals and six world-class restaurants in Kennebunkport, Maine - has announced 2 new executive team appointments.

Kristie Sibley, former Restaurant Manager at The Boathouse Waterfront Restaurant, has been promoted to Senior Director of Food & Beverage of the Kennebunkport Resort Collection.

Kristie is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America with a degree in baking and pastry arts. She began her time with KRC in 2018 when she joined the opening team of The Boathouse Waterfront Restaurant and through her time with KRC, has developed and implemented a thoughtful framework of leadership centered around the importance of cadence, critical thinking and collaboration as pillars that create operational efficiencies and drive success in F&B.  Kristie’s daily celebration of the concept of team and her passion for the ‘world of beverage’ is evident when you see her in action. 

Executive Chef Joe Schafer has been promoted to Culinary Director of the Kennebunkport Resort Collection, in addition to his current role as Executive Chef of Hidden Pond and The Tides Beach Club.

Chef Joe received his training from the accelerated AP program at the New England Culinary Institute. He joined the team in 2017 as the Executive Chef of Earth at Hidden Pond and has continued to make his mark on the culinary experience throughout the KRC properties ever since.  Two things most admired about Chef Joe are his natural inclination to always be teaching, while never forgetting the importance of remaining a perennial student of the industry. Chef Joe is a Chef well-versed across a multitude of genres who brings a humble approach to his craft and one who possesses a deeply-rooted passion for all things ice cream. Chef Joe will be taking on all of the properties of the Kennebunkport Resort Collection with his new title, In addition to his current role as Executive Chef of Hidden Pond and The Tides Beach Club.
