Park Hyatt New York Appoints New GM

Park Hyatt New York announces the appointment of Laurent Ebzant as the new general manager of the five-star luxury hotel in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.

Ebzant joins the iconic, award-winning property from Grand Hyatt Rio De Janeiro in Brazil and brings more than 20 years of Hyatt experience to his new role.

In this role, Ebzant is responsible for managing all aspects of the hotel operation, including guest services, human resources, financial performance, sales efforts and revenue generation, As the hotel’s strategic leader, Ebzant upholds the Park Hyatt brand’s standards, working to exceed guest expectations through personalized service, world-renowned design, vibrant artwork, and immersive culinary experiences. Ebzant joins the newly appointed director of sales & marketing, Robin Flanz, to usher in an exciting new chapter for the storied hotel.

Born and raised in Paris, Ebzant graduated from the Paris Hospitality School with an MBA in Hospitality Management and was first introduced to luxury hospitality in London at the Connaught Hotel, famous for hosting the Royal Family for Sunday Lunch. He has been with the Hyatt family since 1996 when he started his tenure as a night room service attendant at the Hyatt Regency Paris Charles de Gaulle. Since then, Ebzant has worked at Hyatt properties across the globe, with his latest position in the U.S. marking the ninth country he has called home.

Ebzant enjoys spending quality time with his family and staying active. An avid runner, he has 25 marathons under his belt, including five Ironman triathlons.
