Underwater Ghost Village Emerges in Spain

An aerial view of the ghost village reappeared from under the Limia river over 30 years later after a reservoir in Spain has plunged to historically low levels, in Acreredo, Spain on February 21, 2022.

The forgotten Spanish village named Aceredo in Spain’s northwestern Galicia region, which has been submerged by a dam since 1992, emerged after 30 years underwater as an extreme drought has nearly drained the Alto Lindoso reservoir.

Details of a life frozen in 1992, that are revealed once more, draw crowds of tourists with its shattered ruins.
